Introduction

The Office of Engineering Education (OEE) started in September 2005 under the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Deans Office. The presence of technology in universities has increased dramatically in the last years and predictions are that this trend will continue to accelerate in the future. Using technologies in class rooms has great potential to enhance student achievement and teacher learning, but only if it is used appropriately. More use of technologies can create new opportunities for curriculum and instruction by bringing real-world problems into classrooms for students to explore and solve.
