In 1993, the College established an Engineering Training Center to facilitate the integration of industrial experience with the educational programs. The Center supervises the offering of an Engineering Training Course, which provides with 180 hours of on-the-job industrial training experience. This includes student-training placement, formulation of the training program, as well as monitoring and evaluating of students' progress and performance. The Center also arranges field trips and site visits to major construction sites and engineering facilities in Kuwait, schedules seminars on employment opportunities for graduates, and organizes intensive training workshops outside Kuwait for distinguished students.
In 1994, the Alumni office established a link to cooperate with other faculties, graduates and engineers. four years after that, the Engineering Training Center and Alumni office were unified under the name Engineering Training and Alumni Center (ETAC).
