The College of Engineering & Petroleum believes in taking into consideration what the technology has newly developed to further promote the technical level of the college which will positively influence the administrative, academic and research level of all departments.

This belief led to establish The Office of Information & Automation on 1996 to be a new step in the plan of the college to convey the new age of information that the world needs and to be a supportive office for the college.
